Network Performance Monitoring & Definition

What does Network Performance mean –
The Network Performance Monitoring of the network is the analysis and review of the statistics of the corporate system to define the quality of the services offered by the underlying computer network.
It is a qualitative and quantitative process that measures and defines the level of performance of a given network. Guide a network administrator in the review, measurement and improvement of network services.
Network Performance Monitor is measured primarily from the perspective of the end-user (i.e., the quality of network services provided to the user). In general, network performance is measured by examining the statistics and measurements of the following network components:
Network Performance –
Bandwidth or network capacity: data transfer available
Network performance: the amount of data successfully transferred over the network at any given time.
Network delay, latency, and fluctuation: Any network problem that slows packet transfer from regular.
Data loss and network errors: packets lost or lost during transmission and delivery

Network Performance Monitoring –

Network performance monitoring is a routine process to evaluate, analyze, report and monitor the performance of a computer network.
It allows network administrators and managers to monitor the performance and overall quality of the network service of the underlying network.

Network performance monitoring is primarily used to verify and optimize regular network performance. This is usually done through network performance monitoring software, management software, or network monitoring software that provides statistical and metric information about network performance. Some of the metric measures in performance monitoring include:

Network availability and response time
Network download and upload speed
Network delays
When these measures reach or are about to reach their minimum or maximum threshold, network administrators and managers are informed so that they can take preventive or meditative measures to ensure that the network remains at or above the level above required performance levels.

Networks are the backbone of every business. Even in small companies or markets, loss of productivity during a network outage can cause considerable damage. Network monitoring helps anticipate potential disruptions and proactively resolve network problems. This maintains a congestion-free network that keeps your business running. Network monitoring software allows you to monitor the performance of any IP device. It helps companies remotely view the performance of their systems and monitor network services, bandwidth usage, switches, switches — routers, and traffic flow.

Factors that affect network performance.
The availability
CPU and memory
Traffic
Errors and returns
WAN performance
The availability
When every minute of downtime can cost thousands or even millions of dollars, maintaining availability is always an absolute necessity. OpManager pinged all monitored devices at defined monitoring intervals. If a device is idle or if response time or packet loss is significant, OpManager will notify you immediately by sending an email or an SMS.

Network Performance Management –
Performance management involves problem-solving through a manual or automated approach so that network performance is restored to its original state or improved. OpManager offers basic and advanced network troubleshooting tools to correct faults that degrade network performance.
OpManager resolves network failures as follows:
Integrated tools: OpManager offers a variety of devices such as ping, traceroute, MIB browser, remote control, etc. to solve fundamental performance problems.
NCM module: OpManager includes a network configuration management module to manage configuration changes. This facilitates the automation of configuration backups, compliance with compliance policies and the detection of changes in the network in real-time.
